DHS Begins Sending Termination Notices to Immigrants Paroled Into U.S. Under the Biden-era Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela Parole Program

The Department of Homeland Security began sending termination notices to aliens paroled into the U.S. under the Biden-era parole program for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans (CHNV). The notices informed the CHNV immigrants that both their parole and parole-based employment authorization is revoked effective immediately. These notices will be sent to the email addresses provided by the parolees. The notice reads that: “If you do not leave, you may be subject to enforcement actions, including but not limited to detention and removal, without an opportunity to make personal arrangements and return to your country in an orderly manner.” The notifications come less than a week after the U.S. Supreme Court stayed an injunction against termination of the CHNV program.
