Trump Border Czar Says Worksite Enforcement Operations Will “Massively Expand”

During an interview, White House Border Czar Tom Homan said that “worksite enforcement operations are going to massively expand.” Homan also made clear that the Trump Administration is planning to ramp up civil and criminal prosecutions of companies that employ workers without legal status.

Homan’s remarks seem at odds with President Trump’s social media post in which the President said “Our great Farmers and people in the Hotel and Leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace” and promised “Changes are coming!” Later at a bill signing ceremony, the President said “Our farmers are being hurt badly” explaining “they have very good workers. They’ve worked for them for 20 years; they’re not citizens, but they’ve turned out to be…great, and we’re going to have to do something about that.”
