The Department of Labor’s (DOL) Wage and Hour Division (WHD) will offer online seminars in March, June, and September 2025 for unions, contractors, contracting agencies, workers and other stakeholders on prevailing wage requirements for federally funded construction and service contracts. Specifically, the WHD will host four separate two-day seminars with sessions on the Davis-Bacon Act, Service Contract Act and other related topics. The Davis-Bacon seminars will address, among other topics: (1) Davis-Bacon Coverage Issues; (2) Wage Determinations and Conformances; (3) Davis-Bacon Fringe Benefits; (4) Apprentices on Davis-Bacon Projects; and (5) Davis-Bacon Certified Payrolls. The Service Contract Act Seminars will address, among other topics: (1) Service Contract Coverage Issues; (2) Service Contract Wage Determinations and Conformances; (3) 4(c) wage determinations; (4) Service Contract Act Compliance Principles; (5) Price Adjustments; and (6) Executive Order 13706 Establishing Paid Sick Leave for Federal Contractors.
The sessions will be held as follows: (1) on March 18, 2025 from 11am to 5:30pm ET on Davis-Bacon; (2) on March 19, 2025 from 11am to 5:30pm ET on the Service Contract Act; (3) on June 25, 2025 from 11am to 5:30pm ET on Davis-Bacon; (4) on June 26, 2025 from 11am to 5:30pm ET on the Service Contract Act; (5) on September 24, 2025 from 11am to 5:30pm ET on Davis-Bacon; and (6) on September 25, 2025 from 11am to 5:30pm ET on the Service Contract Act.
