This afternoon, the Senate voted 62-38 to end debate on the House-passed continuing resolution (CR) funding the federal government through the end of fiscal year 2025 on September 30th. The Senate is expected to consider up to four amendments before voting on final passage of the CR tonight.
Given that the vote on final passage requires only a simple majority vote, the SWACCA policy team is ending the week confident that there will be no federal government shutdown at midnight tonight.
