Microsoft released a new study assessing the vulnerability of different occupations to being replaced by artificial intelligence (AI) and a list of specific jobs most and least susceptible to being replaced by AI. Most of the least vulnerable jobs don’t require a college degree and include: (1) water treatment plant and system operators; (2) pile drive operators; (3) dredge operators; (4) floor sanders and finishers; (5) logging equipment operators; (6) foundry mold and coremakers; (7) bridge and lock tenders; (8) orderlies; (9) motorboat operators; and (10) rail-track laying and maintenance equipment operators. The jobs most vulnerable to being replaced by AI include: (1) interpreters and translators; (2) historians; (3) passenger attendants; (4) sales representatives; (5) writers and authors; (6) customer service representatives; (7) computer numerical control tool programmers; (8) telephone operators; (9) ticket agents and travel clerks; and (10) broadcast announcers and radio DJs.
