To help establish Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates in the Southeast Texas building and heavy construction sector, the U.S. DOL’s Wage & Hour Division is seeking input from employers, stakeholders and others in Southeast Texas on prevailing wage and fringe benefit rates for workers on federally funded and assisted projects. The Wage & Hour is distributing an online survey here that asks for information on wages paid for relevant construction projects from May 5, 2024, to August 5, 2025.
The areas covered include Austin, Brazoria, Brazos, Burleson, Chambers, Colorado, Fayette, Fort Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Hardin, Harris, Houston, Jasper, Jefferson, Lee, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Matagorda, Milam, Montgomery, Newton, Orange, Polk, Robertson, San Jacinto, Trinity, Tyler, Waller, Washington, and Wharton counties. The survey is due by August 29, 2025. The WHD is also offering two online briefings on May 13 and May 15, 2025 covering the process and instructions needed to complete surveys.
