Supreme Court Term Begins with Cases on Trump’s Tariffs and His Ability to Fire NLRB Members on the Schedule

The Supreme Court’s new term began with cases that could impact President Trump’s agenda, including the appeal of a case on the legality of the “Liberation Day” tariffs imposed in April under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, set to be argued on November 5th, and a case on the President’s authority to fire federal officials without cause at the National Labore Relations Board (NLRB) and other independent agencies, scheduled for December 2025.
