Senators Announce Border Security/Immigration Deal, But It Faces Pushback Among Republicans

After Senate negotiators led by Senators James Lankford (R-OK) and Chris Murphy (D-CT) announced a Senate immigration deal late Friday, on Saturday the Oklahoma Republican Party approved a resolution condemning and censuring Sen. Lankford for his role as a chief negotiator in the bipartisan Senate border security talks between Democrats and Republicans that accuses Lankford of “working with Democrat Senator Charles Schumer on an open border deal to allow 5,000 illegal immigrants a day to enter and work in the United States.”
