Senate Passes GOP Reconciliation Bill, Which Now Heads to the House for Consideration

This afternoon, the Senate voted 51-50 (with Vice President J.D. Vance casting the tie breaking vote) to pass the GOP reconciliation bill and send it to the House for consideration. Republican Sens. Susan Collins (ME), Rand Paul (KY), and Thom Tillis (NC) joined with all Senate Democrats to oppose the bill. All of SWACCA’s priorities were maintained in the Senate-passed bill and the public policy team will be working to maintain them as the House begins consideration of the bill.
