Senate Invokes Cloture on Package That Includes OSHA, WHD, Labor Solicitor, and PBGC Nominees

The Senate voted 53-46 to invoke cloture on S. Res. 412, a resolution containing 108 Executive Branch nominees, including, among others: (1) David Keeling to lead the Occupational Safety and Health Administration; (2) Andrew Rogers to lead the Wage and Hour Division; (3) Jonathan Berry to be Solicitor of Labor; (4) Janet Dhillon to lead the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation; (5) Jonathan Snare to be a member of the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission; (6) Audrey Robertson to be Assistant Secretary of Energy for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy; (7) Timothy Walsh to be Assistant Secretary of Energy for Environmental Management; (8) Catherine Jereza to be Assistant Secretary of Energy for Electricity; (9) Laura Swett and David LaCerte to be members of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission; (10) Neil Jacobs to lead the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration; (11) Kevin Rhodes to be Administrator for Federal Procurement Policy; and (12) Brittany Panuccio to member of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. A final vote on the resolution could occur as soon as Friday.
