The Senate voted 50-48 to confirm Jose Javier Rodriguez to lead the Labor Department’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA), which has jurisdiction over registered apprenticeship and federal job training efforts. The ETA is also responsible for developing and implementing the proposed rule on “National Apprenticeship System Enhancements” on which SWACCA submitted comments earlier this week.
