Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) announced that she will lead the newly created Senate Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Caucus to work with the incoming Trump Administration’s newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) led by tech entrepreneurs Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy. DOGE has been tasked with advising the White House and Office of Management and Budget on cuts to federal spending and the federal government workforce. Other founding members of the Senate DOGE Caucus include: (1) Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX); (2) Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT); (3) Sen. Ted Budd (R-NC); (4) Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL); (5) Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS); (6) Sen. James Lankford (R-OK); and (7) Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO).
