The Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Office of Advocacy announced a Small Business Labor Safety Roundtable on June 6, 2025 from 10am to 12pm ET to discuss the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) proposed rule on Heat Injury and Illness in Indoor and Outdoor Work Settings. During the roundtable, SBA staff will receive input from small businesses and small entity representatives on the impact of OSHA’s proposed heat injury and illness rule.
SWACCA has been engaged on OSHA’s heat injury and illness rulemaking dating back to our submission of joint comments with the Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry on OSHA’s advance notice of proposed rulemaking in Janaury 2022. Most recently, SWACCA submitted comments on OSHA’s proposed rule on Heat Injury and Illness in Outdoor and Indoor Work Settings with the Construction Industry Safety Coalition in January 2025.
Those wishing to participate in the June 6 roundtable must email Bruce Lundegren at bruce.lundegren@sba.gov.
