Rolls-Royce announced an investment of $75 million to expand its engine manufacturing facility in Aiken, South Carolina. The company said the investment is intended to boost output of mtu Series 4000 diesel engines, which are used in backup power systems for data centers and other critical infrastructure. The expansion is expected to create 60 jobs, increase capabilities, and strengthen the company’s industrial presence in the U.S.
