Sens. Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Tim Scott (R-SC), Roger Marshall (R-KS), and Thom Tillis (R-NC) introduced the Strengthening Benefits Plans Act of 2025, legislation that would allow for overfunded 401(h) retiree pension accounts (i.e., employer-sponsored fund for post-retirement medical benefits) to be transferred to help pay for active healthcare programs.
