President Biden Names Three New Members to PBGC Advisory Committee

President Biden appointed three new members to serve on the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation’s (PBGC) Advisory Committee, which includes representatives from labor, employers, and the general public that advise the PBGC on investment policy and other matters related to the agency’s mission. The three new members include: (1) Ilana Boivie, the assistant director of strategic resources for the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers; (2) Lamont Everett (Monte) Tarbox, who served as president of the AFL-CIO Investment Trust until his retirement in 2024 and has over 30 years of experience as a chief investment officer and advisor serving large multiemployer pension funds; and (3) Kathryn J. Kennedy, a law professor and director of the Center for Tax Law and Employee Benefits at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law.
