The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) released the pre-publication version of its final rule on Personal Protective Equipment in Construction that the SWACCA public policy team has been lobbying OSHA to finalize before the end of President Biden’s term. SWACCA submitted comments with the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) on the proposed rule in September 2023. The final rule is set to formally be published in the Federal Register tomorrow, December 12, 2024.
