One concerning aspect of today’s job report is that construction industry shed 20,000 jobs in May and the decline was mostly in commercial construction among specialty trade contractors. On CNBC Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh speculated as to the cause of these job losses, saying “a lot of it could be … getting materials on job sites.”
