U.S. District Court Judge Edward Chen blocked the Trump Administration from curtailing Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 600,000 Venezuelan immigrants living in the U.S. In his order, Chen said that Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s decision to curtail TPS protections was an unprecedented, legally flawed move that appeared to be rooted in racial discrimination by both Noem and President Trump.
