The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced it will hold a free one-hour webinar on November 19, 2024 that is designed to help businesses that must report their beneficial ownership information to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). During the webinar, the IRS and FinCEN will: (1) explain the Corporate Transparency Act; (2) provide beneficial ownership reporting resources; (3) analyze the beneficial ownership reporting requirement using the Small Entity Compliance Guide; and (4) describe what happens if a company does not timely report beneficial ownership information to FinCEN. The webinar will also feature a live question-and-answer session. The webinar will be held on November 19, 2024 at 2pm ET.
