Yesterday, ICE agents targeted workers traveling to the Louisiana construction site where Meta is building a $27 billion, 4 million-square-foot AI data center. Authorities said ICE did not enter the facility itself, but arrested two individuals from Guatemala and Honduras due to their immigration status. The project is being built on roughly 2,250 acres in Richland Parish and is managed by three general contractors: Mortenson Construction (Minneapolis), DPR Construction (Redwood City, California), and Turner Construction (New York).
