Goldman Sachs Analysis Finds U.S. Consumers Will Bear 55% of Trump Tariff Costs

A Goldman Sachs analysis reveals that American consumers will bear 55% of the costs from President Trump’s tariffs, with U.S. businesses shouldering 22%, and foreign exporters taking 18%. With prices up 2.9% year-over-year, U.S. businesses are currently absorbing most of the costs, but are expected to pass them onto consumers in the near future.
