FTC Issues Joint Letter with DOJ Directing Agencies to Create a List of Anti-Competitive Regulations

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) issued a joint letter with the Department of Justice (DOJ) directing federal agency heads to create a list of anti-competitive regulations that reduce competition, entrepreneurship, and innovation pursuant to President Trump’s executive order on “Reducing Anticompetitive Regulatory Barriers.” After the FTC and DOJ receive the lists of anti-competitive regulations from agencies, they will provide the Office of Management and Budget a consolidated list of regulations that should be rescinded or modified, along with their recommended modifications.
