Yesterday, a federal judge in Texas struck down the Biden Administration’s “Keeping Families Together” Initiative, an executive order to help immigrant families by allowing an estimated 500,000 undocumented spouses and stepchildren of U.S. citizens to apply for a green card without first having to leave the country. The judge had already placed a temporary hold on the program, but in his final judgment yesterday Judge Barker held that the executive action stretched the legal interpretation of relevant immigration law “past its breaking point.”
