The Department of Labor (DOL) announced it will host a free virtual seminar on January 22, 2026 from 1pm to 2:30pm CT, to provide employers with an overview of the relaunched Payroll Audit Independent Determination (PAID) program, which allows businesses to self-identify and resolve potential wage-and-hour and leave violations without litigation. Led by experts from the department’s Wage and Hour Division and the Office of the Solicitor, the seminar will explain recent enhancements to the program, which now covers both the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act, and is intended to help employers improve compliance while ensuring workers receive back wages and other remedies more quickly.
