The Labor Department announced a new suite of voluntary self-assessment tools to help businesses strengthen supply chains and identify risks tied to foreign labor abuses. The tools include: (1) LaborShield, a mobile app with data on labor violations in more than 145 countries; (2) ImportWatch, a resource that combines federal labor research with import data to flag high-risk goods; (3) SourcingStrong, a tool designed to help companies build labor due diligence systems; and (4) a Supply Chain Traceability Portal, which provides visibility beyond first-tier suppliers to identify exploitative labor risks.
