DOL Highlights Benefits of Registered Apprenticeship Programs on National Apprenticeship Day

To mark National Apprenticeship Day, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) published data highlighting the benefits of registered apprenticeship programs. Specifically, DOL highlights that the average starting salary after an apprentice completes an apprenticeship program is $80,000/year, that 90% of apprentices retain employment after apprenticeship completion, and apprentice graduates earn more than $300,000 more over their lifetime compared to peers who do not participate in an apprenticeship. More information is available on DOL’s registered apprenticeship website here.
