The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) opened applications for the 2025 Renew America’s Schools Prize, which provides $90 million from the SWACCA-supported Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to fund energy-efficiency and indoor air quality improvements in U.S. public schools. In awarding these funds, DOE will prioritize Local Educational Agencies that qualify as disadvantaged and/or rural and that will use the funds for new building envelopes, lighting projects, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and renewable energy technologies that help reduce building operation costs.
