Last night, Congressional lawmakers released a continuing resolution (CR) to fund the federal government through March 14, 2025. The legislation includes A Stronger Workforce for America Act, which would reauthorize and make changes to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). In particular, the bill includes provisions SWACCA lobbied for to provide supportive services like child care, child support, medical assistance, and transportation services for individuals participating in a federal workforce development program.
