Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts allowed President Trump to remove National Labor Relations Board member Gwynne Wilcox and Merit Systems Protection Board member Cathy Harris as litigation challenging their firings continue to make their way through federal court. Roberts’ decision comes the same day that the Trump Administration sought a stay of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit’s decision on Monday reinstating Wilcox and Harris to their positions. The ruling leaves both the NLRB and MSPB without a quorum for the moment. Roberts’ order sets a deadline of April 15th for responses to the Trump Administration’s petition for Supreme Court review of the case.
