Amgen to Invest $600 Million to Build New Research and Development Facility in California

Amgen announced it will spend more than $600 million to build a new research and development facility at its headquarters in Thousand Oaks, California. The company said that construction of the facility will begin in the third quarter of 2025 and is expected to create hundreds of jobs. The announcement builds on other recent investments from the company including a $900 million expansion of its manufacturing facility in Central Ohio and a $1 billion investment to build a second manufacturing plant in Holly Springs, North Carolina.
